We're inviting your feedback on a proposal to amend Clause 6.7 – ‘Solar access to public places in Bondi Junction,’ and the Height of Buildings Map of the Waverley Local Environmental Plan 2012. The planning proposal, which has been prepared by Council officers, seeks to amend the Waverley Local Environmental Plan in order to remove unintended constraints to development on certain sites in Bondi Junction while maintaining solar access to public places.

What is the Waverley Local Environmental Plan 2012?

The Waverley Local Environmental Plan 2012 applies to the whole of the Waverley Local Government Area (LGA). It identifies the type of development that is possible in certain areas and on certain sites, and outlines the relevant development standards such as maximum height and floor space.

All submissions must be received by 5pm on Wednesday 11 February 2015. Please note that all submissions are available for viewing by the public.

What happens next?

Following exhibition, Council will collate all feedback received and decide whether to proceed with the proposal as exhibited or with amendments, or whether to proceed at all. If Council proceeds with the proposal, they will work with Parliamentary Counsel to finalise the amended LEP.
