We welcome applications to the newly created Arts, Culture and Creativity Advisory Committee. The committee will foster the ongoing development of quality, diverse and creative arts and culture in Waverley across all art forms. The committee will replace the functions of the former Waverley Public Art Committee and Arts and Culture Advisory Committee from October 2023.

Membership will be for a term of two years, November 2023 until October 2025.

We are seeking up to eight industry professionals and others, at least four of whom live or work in Waverley, who have relevant expertise and experience in the advancement of arts and culture, and represent a mix of artists and arts workers and art forms including a minimum of:

  1. Two specialists in public art/landscape design, architecture or urban planning
  2. Two specialists in theatre, performance, literature, festivals, production or music
  3. One specialist in the area of art, heritage, public programming or collection management
  4. One specialist in the area of Indigenous practice

and who together offer a mix of ages, ethnicities, expertise and relevant skills.

We are looking for leaders in their fields who will advocate and champion arts, culture and creativity in and for Waverley Council.

Applicants are invited to fill out an expression of interest form (below) and may be asked to attend an interview.

The first meeting of the Arts, Culture and Creativity Advisory Committee is scheduled for Monday 20 November 2023 at Waverley Council Chambers. Attendance is required.
