Bronte Lookout is the seating area with sandstone cubes, located on the corner of Macpherson Street and Gardyne Street. Initially upgraded in 2016, we have been undertaking maintenance work such as cleaning the sandstone feature and seating, ongoing planting and mulching native shrubs.

The proposed works

We are proposing to plant a Tristaniopsis laurina (Water Gum) on Macpherson Street behind the sandstone seat to provide shade. The tree will be approximately 1.5 metres high when planted and grow to a height of approximately 5 metres at maturity in a coastal setting like Bronte. You can view details on the planting and its location here.

We are also investigating whether to add another seat in the location.
