EXPRESSION OF INTEREST – Young Climate Champions

Do you have great ideas for fighting climate change? THEN WE NEED YOU!!!

Waverley Council is currently inviting expressions of interest for ten young people (10 to 18 years old) to join Council’s ‘Power to the Future’ project. Applications close 27 March 2023.

By getting involved you will:

  • Meet other young guns and share with them your views and knowledge and have great fun doing it!
  • Translate knowledge, thinking and ideas into positive climate actions.
  • Influence decision makers and implement actions through your network of families and friends.
  • Participate in upskilling activities on climate change/environmental protection and presentations to Council precinct committees.

You will be supported by council staff and senior community members.

 I am committed to the program and I understand my involvement in the program will require me to attend activities once every 1-2 months including weekend activities Required
My parents/carers are aware of this application and are happy for me to participate in program activities. Required
I am happy for Waverley Council staff to contact my parents/carers to discuss my involvement in the program. Required
