We're kick starting the silly season with the return of Light Up Waverley, a festive lights competition for the community! Waverley is known for being vibrant and colourful, and we're excited to bring even more life to the area this summer.

Residents, businesses and schools are encouraged to get into the festive spirit by decorating their outdoor space, whether it's your front yard, balcony, window, school classroom or store front.

• Best unit/balcony display: $500 gift card
• Best business display: $500 gift card
• Best school classroom display: $500 gift card
• Best sustainable display: $500 gift card
• People's choice prize: $500 gift card (voting completed via the Waverley Council Facebook page; more information to come)

Competition closes 9 PM AEDT, Tuesday 10 December 2024.

Note: Entries into the Classroom Display and Sustainability Display categories do not require the use of lights and can just be festive decorations or artwork.
