Waverleys villages and local centres are much-loved places that contribute significant heritage and character to our local area. They provide valuable services and employment to not only Waverley’s community, but to the Greater Sydney and international community as well.

Development of the Village Centre Strategy will be informed by a comprehensive policy and strategy review as well as a detailed urban design review of the local and neighbourhood centres within the LGA. The Strategy will encourage planning for sustainable, healthy, active and liveable communities as future development progresses.

The strategy will address sustainability, built form, accessibility, character and public domain in all nineteen of our centres (excluding Bondi Junction).
