Council has purchased 49 Mitchell Street Bondi Beach for use as Affordable Housing; settlement occurred 8 May 2025. In accordance with the requirement of section 34(1) of the Local Government Act 1993, Council must give notice of a proposed resolution to classify Lot 1 in DP 14454 at 49 Mitchell Street Bondi Beach as ‘Operational Land’. Council has a requirement to give notice within 3 months of purchase. Once the public notice period has expired a report to council will follow to provide final approval.

Written submissions on the proposal must be sent to Council by Tuesday 8 July 2025 being not less than 28 days from the date of the notice.

Submissions must be in writing and may be either -

2. Mailed to the General Manager, Waverley Council, PO Box 9, Bondi Junction NSW 1355.

In accordance with the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009, submissions may be made publicly available on request.
