Changes to meetings due to COVID-19


Council and Committee meetings

Members of the public may attend Council and Committee meetings; however, due to COVID-19 and social distancing requirements, attendance is restricted to no more than 25 people at one time. To facilitate public engagement, Council and Committee meetings will continue to be live streamed here.


Members of the public wishing to address Council and Committee meetings may only do so by attending in person. To register to speak, please complete the online registration form below before 3.00 pm on the day of the meeting. Alternatively, you may register with staff in the Governance Department by calling 9083 8000.


Traffic Committee meetings

Traffic Committee meetings are being held by video conference until further notice and members of the public are unable to attend. Members of the public can still address these meetings by submitting a written speech or recorded video. Please complete the online registration form below before 3.00 pm on the day before the meeting. Alternatively, you may register and make arrangements for lodging your submission with staff in the Governance Department by calling 9083 8000.


Things you need to know about addressing Council, Committee and Traffic Committee meetings


  • The schedule of meeting dates is available here.
  • Meeting agendas are available here on the Friday afternoon prior to the meeting.
  • Your submission must only be about an item that is listed on the meeting agenda.
  • At Council and Committee meetings, your submission will be live streamed.
  • Your name will be included in the minutes of the meeting unless you request otherwise.
  • Council and Committee meetings are conducted in accordance with Council’s Code of Meeting Practice.


What happens after I submit the online registration form?

You will receive an email confirming that you have registered to speak at the meeting, and your registration details will be provided to the chair.
