IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING THE CORONAVIRUS AND MEETINGS
Council, Committee and Traffic Committee meetings are currently being held by video conference, and members of the public are unable to speak at a meeting in person.
However, you can still address these meetings by either:
Recording a video submission no longer than 3 minutes duration, which will be played at the meeting (preferred option).
Making a written submission no longer than 400 words, which will be read out at the meeting by a staff member.
For Council/Committee meetings, please complete the registration form below before 3.00 pm on the day of the meeting.
For Traffic Committee meetings, please complete the registration form below before 3.00 pm on the day before the meeting.
The schedule of meeting dates for the Council and Committee meetings is available here.
Meeting agendas are available online on the Friday afternoon prior to the meeting.
Things you need to know about submissions to a Council or Committee meeting
When making a submission to a Council or Committee meeting you need to know that:
Your submission must only be about an item that is listed on the meeting agenda.
Your submission must be no longer than three minutes or 400 words.
For video submissions:
Only use landscape orientation.
Ensure that you are clearly visible and audible.
A good-quality video filmed on your smart phone or tablet is sufficient.
Your submission will be live streamed.
Your name will be included in the minutes of the meeting unless you request otherwise.
Council and Committee meetings are conducted in accordance with Council's Code of Meeting Practice.

When making a submission to a Waverley Traffic Committee meeting you need to know that:
Meetings are not open to the public.
Your speech must only be about an item that is listed on the meeting agenda.
Your speech must take no longer than 400 words.
For video submissions:
Only use landscape orientation.
Ensure that you are clearly visible and audible.
A good-quality video filmed on your smart phone or tablet is sufficient.
Your name will be included in the minutes of the meeting unless you request otherwise.
What happens after I submit the online registration form?
You will receive an email confirming that you have registered to speak at the meeting, and your registration details will be provided to the Chairperson.

Live Streaming of Council and Committee Meetings
Waverley Council live streams all Council meetings and meetings of the
Operations and Community Services Committee and the Strategic Planning and
Development Committee. A recording of the meeting will be published on
Council’s website within 48 hours of the closure of the meeting.
By
attending a meeting you consent to your image and/or voice being live
streamed and publicly available.
Waverley
Council does not accept any liability for statements made or actions taken by
individuals during a meeting that may be contrary to law, and which may
be contained in a live stream or recording of a meeting. Such
statements and actions are those of the individual and not those of the
Council.
