How your feedback has altered designs.

19 September 2019

The largest issue overwhelmingly for the community was road safety and concerns about traffic. Several suggestions for traffic improvements were provided including: new zebra crossings, speed humps and stop signs.

Within the Seven Ways project, Council will undertake the following safety measures;

  • the Pedestrianising of Warners Lane
  • aligned crossings and pram ramps
  • raised crossing installed on Glenayr Ave
  • park lighting

The community provided ideas to enhance the design with public art, play spaces and amenities like a bubbler, dog poles, bins and lighting and the use of natural finishes like wood. Council has included;

  • new bins on both sides
  • park lighting
  • “beachy” sand coloured pavers
  • bubbler with dog bowls
  • timber seating

We will have more information on the construction times after an inception meeting tomorrow, please check the website for updates.
