Alcohol Free Zones and Alcohol Prohibited Areas

At the Council Meeting on 10 October 2019, Council resolved to continue to enforce Alcohol Free Zones (on our streets and on footpaths) in and around Bondi Beach and Bondi Junction. Council also resolved to continue to enforce Alcohol Prohibited Areas (in our parks and on our beaches) in the following locations: Tamarama, Bondi and Bronte beaches as well as Bondi Park, Bronte Park, Biddigal Reserve, Tamarama Park, Ray O’Keefe Reserve, Boundi Reserve, Hunter Park and Clementson Park and Eora Park in Bondi Junction.

Further to this, the report proposed Council consider easing restrictions to Alcohol Prohibited Areas at Bronte Park and Bondi Park for a trial period from 1 December 2019 to 30 March 2020 to allow responsible alcohol consumption between 12noon and 7pm.

How supportive, if at all, are you of the easing of restrictions to allow for the responsible consumption of alcohol at Bronte Park for a trial period between 1 December 2019 and 30 March 2020 between 12noon and 7pm? Required
