Consultation has concluded
As part of Waverley Council’s due diligence regarding community safety and the management of risk pertaining to beaches under its jurisdiction (Bondi, Tamarama, Bronte), we are conducting our annual independent risk review to look at ways to ensure existing controls remain effective.
We are seeking your input as part of the consultation process of this review.
Waverley Council annually conducts a review of its beach operations to ensure the safety and amenity of all beach users.
This year, we have included a survey for the wider community to provide feedback about a range of key topics including buffer zones, hard boards, and cycling and skateboarding along the Bondi Beach promenade, following a Council resolution in March 2018.
It is part of Council’s commitment to transparent consultation with the community on key issues.
Update: Following significant community concerns over the accuracy of some of the information in its Lifeguard Service Risk Review survey, Waverley Council has today revised the survey information and extended the deadline for submissions.
