Waverley Council is calling for community feedback in the development of a site specific public art work in Waverley Mall, Bondi Junction. The objective is for an artwork that responds to the existing sense of place in Waverley Mall. The site is a public plaza space adjacent to Oxford Street and major entrances to Westfield. Waverley Mall functions as a major thoroughfare for local pedestrians and cyclists between the suburbs, Bondi Junction Terminal and Westfield. It is a quiet, leafy, paved thoroughfare housing a number of cafes with outdoor seating areas.

Submission’s for artists to create a work for the Waverley Mall site closed in April 2016. All the applications were reviewed by the Waverley Public Art Committee with a shortlist of three artists recommended to develop a detailed artwork design for the site.
