Notts Avenue Safety and Streetscape Upgrade

Based on community feedback, Council’s People, Movement and Places Strategy identifies pedestrian safety as a priority.

We know over one million people use the Coastal Walk each year, and Notts Avenue is heavily used by pedestrians for this reason. With this in mind, Council has since identified Notts Avenue as a priority location for an upgrade to improve resident and visitors experience, with the aim to improve safety for all users of this space.

The first step in the project is to hear from you, the community, about how you use Notts Avenue and what we could do to improve your experience of the space. Complete the survey below by Friday 5 April.

Project timeline

Phase one – community consultation on use and improvements (March/April 2019)

Phase two – concept design development (May 2019)

Phase three – community consultation on concept designs (June/July 2019)

Phase four – detailed design (August-October 2019)

Phase five – final consultation on detailed design (November 2019)

Construction is aimed to begin in April 2020. Construction will be completed in stages to minimise inconvenience to users.

If you have any queries relating to the project, please don’t hesitate to contact Jordan Laverty, Project Manager via email at jordan.laverty@waverley.nsw.gov.au.
