Onslow Street Reserve, Rose Bay Upgrade
As identified in our Play Space Strategy, we are making necessary improvements to Onslow St Reserve to ensure it is fit for purpose and up to the latest Australian Standards.
Improvement works include:
- new exploratory/nature play space
- removal and pruning of any unhealthy trees
- new bin enclosure
- new play equipment and rubber softfall to improve safety and play experience.
This reserve is classified as a 'pocket playground', which is defined as 'a small playground with basic range of play experiences to cater to the immediate needs of residents within a 250m catchment area.'

Next steps
Once consultation concludes, we will update the plans to incorporate your feedback. The updated plans will be made available online, and Council's landscape architects will continue work on the detailed design and documentation of the plans before we seek quote to build the works. We expect the new park and play space will be completed next financial year.
