Gaerloch Avenue and Dellview St, Tamarama — proposed one-way road system

18 January 2021

Please note: It is not within the scope of this proposal that the pedestrian coastal walk itself become one-way.

We are seeking your feedback on the proposed scheme as follows:

  • an alternative pedestrian route between Bondi and Tamarama Beach via Gaerloch Avenue, Alexander Street, and Sandridge Street. This will be supported with signage and pedestrian crossing points
  • a permanent one-way road system for Gaerloch Avenue and Dellview Street (the same system that is temporarily put in place during Sculpture by the Sea)

This is part of Council's work in investigating ways to manage overcrowding around the Bondi to Bronte Coastal Walk.

More detail on the proposed treatments is available here.
