Thank you to everyone who provided their feedback on the concept designs of the Bronte Surf Club and Community Facilities Upgrade. The consultation report is here:
Waverley Council is working with Bronte Surf Lifesaving Club (SLSC) to deliver a modern and sustainable new surf club and community facilities.
There are over 1,900 Bronte SLSC members, who, alongside Waverley Lifeguards and employees, use the Club as a hub for rescues, training, storing equipment and first aid.
The building is no longer fit for purpose and must be rebuilt to meet the needs of contemporary surf lifesaving and the community including:
Balance of female to male facilities
Compliance for family change rooms and accessible amenities
Fit for purpose lifeguard and lifesaving facilities including adequate storage and training space
The promenade and facility block next to the Club is also to be upgraded.

Council and Bronte Surf Life Saving Club (SLSC) are working together to make a fit-for-purpose surf life saving club. From previous consultations, we decided on three guiding principles for the project; community hub, natural environment and connected to the environment
Before we start we would like to hear which of the three guiding visions is most important to you. This will help decide the main focus of the brand new Club. You will also be asked which activities you enjoy most at Bronte Beach, this way we can prioritise spacial priorities.
Your feedback will help shape the guiding vision for the project.
