Background

For over 90 years, Bondi Pavilion has been a central part of life for residents and visitors to Bondi Beach. From theatre to pottery, change rooms to ice rinks, ballrooms to music festival, the Pavilion has done it all. Now, our community and cultural centre is being restored for future generations to enjoy.

In June 2020, Buildcorp was announced as the head contractor to carry out the works, which are expected to take approximately 18 months. For up-to-date information on the construction works, please head to waverley.nsw.gov.au/bondipavilionproject

what is happening with the various commercial spaces eg. cafes and bars. Will the future lease of these spaces be put out to a public tender to ensure a transparent process?

    bondiyes asked 5 months ago

Hi Bondiyes, we ran a public tender earlier this year for Shop 4 (southern end) at Bondi Pavilion, which has now closed and currently under assessment.

It is anticipated that 1-2 smaller tenancies at the northern end will go to EOI in the new year. These are approx. 90—130sqm each and adverts for the EOI will appear on Council's website, media and tenderlink.com.
